On a pad you can't play the latter because the pad can't keep up with the pace due to not being suitable for high octane gameplay :) Question how you know a genre doesn't work on a device? On PC you can play slowpaced call of duties and whatever, on PC you can also play fastpaced classic FPS like duke3d or play quake on 1700ups speed without any issues. They had to dumb it down because fps is a genre that won't work on controllers otherwise. No more speed, no more accuracy, no more punishing gameplay, no more complexity, no more deep skilceiling mechanics. Inorder to get fps in the state where it is currently that call of duty and whatever ♥♥♥♥. Only reason it got bit more popular on consoles was because they had to alter the core genre lol. People these days legit think that fps can be played on controller eventhough it can't in reality. There was a time when almost everyone was content with the M&KB combo in PC shooters and it also allowed for much more competitive play and things you simply can't pull off with a gamepad. Originally posted by ThatGuyKai:The amount of people asking for controller support just baffles me, i used to play nothing but consoles for years but since moving to pc if theres one thing iv learned is that theres certain games you just dont play with a controller and are not designed to be played with one, Quake is literally one of those games.Ī decade of CoD's sales and popularity domination and devs catering to console audiences distorted people's perspectives.
